Charles Grant

Charles Grant is a former professional defensive end for the NFL. Grant attended the University of Georgia where he was a three-year letterman and a two-year starter. The New Orleans Saints selected Grant as the 25th overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft. On July 27, 2002, Grant signed a six-year extension with the Saints. Grant received a four game suspension on December 2, 2008 after it was discovered that he was using diuretics. Grant was a part of the Saints team that was the 2009 NFC Champion and Super Bowl XLIV Champion. Grant did not participate in the playoffs that year due to a torn triceps, but he still received a ring. On March 5, 2010, the Saints released Grant. Grant signed with the Miami Dolphins on July 28, 2010 for a two-year deal, but on September 5, 2010, he was cut from the team. Grant then signed with the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL on September 21, 2010. On October 5, 2010, Grant signed with the Chicago Bears, but he was released on October 19.
