About Casey Mears
Casey Mears is a professional stock car and open-wheel racing driver. In 1991, Mears raced go-karts for a season before he began competing in the SuperLites OffRoad Series in 1992. Two years later, Mears moved to sprint cars where he finished third in the Jim Russell USAC Triple Crown Championship. Mears made his Dayton Indy Lights debut in 1996 at the Cleveland Grand Prix where he finished eighth. Mears made his NASCAR debut in 2001 in the Busch Series where he finished 28th. In 2005, Mears teamed up with Scott Dixon and Darren Manning in the Chip Ganassi Lexus Riley where they finished in 6th place. Mears won his first career Nextel Cup victory at the Coca Cola 600 on May 27, 2007. During the 2014 season, Mears has recorded 14 top-20 finishes, three of which are top-10s and a top-5. Mears became the first ever full-time NASCAR driver to win the Rolex 24 overall.
