About Brian Flores
Brian Flores is the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins and a current assistant for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Flores had great success in Miami, posting a 5-11 record in year one, but turning it around to go 10-6 and 9-8 the next two seasons. Despite the positive trajectory, he was fired after the 2021 season. Flores interviewed for several head coaching jobs that offseason, but was not hired. That led to him challenging the NFL's hiring practices by filing a class-action lawsuit against the league and three franchises.
Prior to joining the franchise, he spent his entire coaching tenure under Bill Belichick with the New England Patriots. Flores started with the Patriots franchise as a scouting assistant in 2004. He moved up to the role of pro scout in 2006 before joining the coaching staff in 2008. After time as an assistant on special teams and offense, Flores transitioned to the defensive side of the ball, serving as a defensive assistant in 2011. He was the Patriots safeties coach from 2012-15 and then spent three years as linebackers coach. During Flores' time in New England, he won four Super Bowls.
