Brandon Aubrey

Brandon Aubrey serves as a placekicker for the Dallas Cowboys and gained fame through his transition from professional soccer to the National Football League. Brandon Aubrey entered the world on March 14, 1995, in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Plano, Texas where he spent his childhood playing soccer. The University of Notre Dame accepted Aubrey as a freshman to play soccer while he won a national championship. The MLS SuperDraft selected Aubrey as its first-round pick during 2017 when Toronto FC drafted him. After two years with Toronto FC II and Bethlehem Steel FC Aubrey chose to end his soccer career before starting a software engineering profession.

During an NFL game in 2019 his wife noticed his kicking potential which motivated him to try out for the position. After watching an NFL game with his wife she proposed that he should become a kicker which inspired him to start training with former NFL kickers and participate in kicking combines. The 2022 USFL Draft selected Aubrey by the Birmingham Stallions as he became the league leader in field goal accuracy.

The Cowboys selected him in 2023 after his outstanding performance in his first NFL season where he became the team's record holder with 37 successful field goals and received first-team All-Pro honors. The NFL history books now show Aubrey as the first kicker who successfully converted both a 59-yard and a 60-yard field goal during the same contest. During the 2024 season he established a new personal best by converting 40 field goals. Aubrey stands out for his unassuming nature and dedication to work which reflects his commitment to persistence and flexibility.
