About Bobby Taylor
Bobby Taylor joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a second round draft pick in 1995 after a standout college career at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to joining the Fighting Irish in South Bend he led Longview High School in Texas to a Class 5A state basketball championship while also starring on the football team. During his four-year career at Notre Dame he was one of their most consistent defensive backs and earned consensus first-team All-American honors in 1994. Taylor played the first eight seasons of his career with the Eagles before retiring with the Seattle Seahawks in 2004. During his career he earned Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors in 2002 and retired with 384 tackles, 19 interceptions and two touchdowns. Among the many awards he won in his career was the Ed Block Courage Award, which he was awarded in 1998 while playing for the Eagles for his dedication to team, community and leadership.
