About Blake Cashman
Blake Cashman is an NFL linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings. A standout at Eden Prairie High School, he won two state championships and was named Minnesota's Mr. Football in 2014. Cashman played from 2015 to 2018 at the University of Minnesota, earning second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2018 with 104 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. Despite injury setbacks, including a redshirt year, he finished with 152 career tackles.
Drafted in the fifth round (157th overall) by the New York Jets in the 2019 NFL Draft, Cashman played three seasons with the Jets (2019–2021), starting 14 games and recording 78 tackles and three sacks. Traded to the Houston Texans in 2022, he had a breakout 2023 season, starting 13 games with 106 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and two sacks.
In 2024, he signed a three-year, $22.5 million contract with the Vikings, where he started all 17 games, leading the team with 107 tackles, eight tackles for loss, three sacks, and an interception, earning high praise for his instincts and coverage skills.
