About Ben Johnson
Ben Johnson is the head coach of the Chicago Bears. Johnson built a reputation as one of the top offensive minds in football during his run as offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions from 2022-24.
Johnson originally started out as a quality control coach with the Lions in 2019 and his ascent coincided with Detroit's rise as a franchise. In 2023, they posted the league's third-best mark in total offense and won a division title for the first time since 1993. The following season, the Lions had the NFL's best offense.
Prior to arriving in Detroit, Johnson cut his pro coaching teeth with the Miami Dolphins, starting as an offensive assistant in 2012 before rising to wide receivers coach by 2018. He started his coaching career on the college level at Boston College from 2009-2010.
