Bailey Zappe Biography

Bailey Zappe had an improbable and record-setting start to his NFL career. The New England Patriots selected Zappe in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. When Mac Jones went down with injury, Zappe was thrust into action as a rookie. He became the first in the Super Bowl era to go 2-0 in his first two starts and record a passer rating over 100 in each game. He had previously had tremendous success in college, first at Houston Baptist and then at Western Kentucky. In his final season with the Hilltoppers, he set FBS records with 5,967 passing yards and 62 touchdowns. Zappe was named Conference USA Player of the Year and Offensive MVP of the Boca Raton Bowl.
