About Anni Friesinger
Anni Friesinger-Potsma is a successful former German speed skater. She won five Olympic medals in her career, three of them gold. Friesinger-Potsma medaled in four different Olympics and four different races over a 12 year span. Her most impressive Winter Games was in Turin in 2006, where she qualified in five events, won the gold in team pursuit, and bronze in the 1000 meters. In addition to her Olympic glory, Friesinger-Potsma was also a five-time European All-Around champion and a three time World All-Around Champion. She set the world record in the 1500 meters three different times and set the Olympic record during her gold medal run in Salt Lake City in 2002. Both of her parents were skaters and her mom Jana was on Poland’s team at the 1976 Olympics. Throughout her career, Friesinger-Potsma was a model and endorser for several brands.
