About Andres Borregales
Andres Borregales is a placekicker for the New England Patriots. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, he moved to the U.S. as an infant and grew up in Florida before becoming a standout at the University of Miami. A two-time First-Team All-ACC selection (2023, 2024) and Lou Groza Award semifinalist, he set Miami records as the program's all-time leading scorer and earned PFWA All-Rookie Team honors in the NFL. Drafted 182nd overall (sixth round) in the 2025 NFL Draft, Borregales became the Patriots' primary kicker as a rookie. In the 2025 regular season, he converted 27-of-32 field goals (84.4%, long of 59 yards) and 53-of-55 extra points (96.4%) for 134 points (tied-7th in NFL). He becomes the first Venezuelan-born player to appear in a Super Bowl.
