Women’s Basketball Pioneer Nancy Lieberman Keynotes A-10 Championship School Day Program March 9th

Basketball legend Nancy Lieberman is coming to the Atlantic-10 Basketball Championship. She will speak at their School Day Program on March 9th. 

The event will be held at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 10:15 a.m. Lieberman is speaking to a group of area students just prior to quarterfinal action tips off at the A-10 Championships. 

Games officially run March 8-12. Lieberman has a family tie, with her son T.J. Cline competing in the conference for the University of Richmond. 

Lieberman was a three-time All-American and two-time winner of the Wade Trophy at Old Dominion. She led the Monarchs to back-to-back AIAW National Championships. 

In 1980, Lieberman won the Broderick Cup as the top women's student-athlete in the country. She won an Olympic silver medal in 1976. 

Lieberman is a member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. She now serves as an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings.
