Women’s Basketball Legend Tamika Catchings Holds Two Knoxville Book Signings

This weekend, women's basketball legend Tamika Catchings was in the place many consider the mecca of her sport.  She had a pair of book signings in Knoxville, Tennessee.  

Catchings first appeared at LifeWay Christian Store on Saturday.  On Sunday, she held a signing at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame from 4-6 p.m.

The book titled, "Catch A Star: Shining Through Adversity to Become a Champion", was released on March 1st.  It chronicles her life and the faith in God that got her through tough times. 

Catchings is getting set to embark on her final WNBA season after spending all 16 years of her career with the Indiana Fever.  She is a ten-time All-Star and five-time Defensive Player of the Year. 

In 2012, Catchings won her first WNBA title and also was awarded Finals MVP.  She is currently second all-time in league history in points,

Fans voted Catchings one of the top 15 players in WNBA history in 2011.  Outside of the league, she has won three Olympic gold medals for Team USA.
