U.S. Women’s Soccer Legend Kristine Lilly Holds Summer Academy in Connecticut

The Kristine Lilly Soccer Academy is returning next month.  From July 5-8, U.S. women's soccer great Kristine Lilly will host the event at Ambler Field in Wilton, Connecticut.

Girls and boys from the ages of seven to 13 are welcome to attend.  Each session over the four days runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Those in attendance will get expert instruction on basic soccer skills from Lilly.  Registration is now open and the cost to attend is $290.

Lilly is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup Champion.  Amazing, she competed for the national team for 23 years and has a record 352 caps.

Lilly's 130 career goals for Team USA trail only Abby Wambach and Mia Hamm on the all-time charts.  She is the first woman to have competed in five World Cups.

On the club side, Lilly competed for several teams, most notably the Boston Breakers.  As a collegian, she won the Hermann Trophy in 1991 and four national championships at North Carolina.
