Toronto Blue Jays Ace Marcus Stroman Signs with Jordan Brand

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman may be one of the most engaging personalities in baseball.  Despite missing most of the 2015 season after tearing his ACL, marketers have taken notice.

Stroman announced on Twitter this week that he has signed with Jordan Brand.  He posted a photo with boxes of Jordan shoes to his side, including the new Air Jordan IV cleats.

Other details of the deal should be revealed in the future.  Air Jordan boasts seven other baseball players on their list of athlete endorsers, including stars like Manny Machado and David Price.

Stroman is likely slated as the ace of the Toronto staff this season.  The 5'8'' hurler has continuously defied the odds to reach the pinnacle of his profession.

As a rookie in 2014, Stroman posted an 11-6 record with a 3.65 ERA and 111 strikeouts.  Momentum was then shattered when he toar his ACL the following spring training, but he would bounce back in a big way.

Stroman made it back for the stretch run last year, going 4-0 with a 1.67 ERA in four September starts.  He also started three postseason games for the American League East champion Blue Jays.
