Three-Time Olympian Dominique Dawes Speaks at Heart of a Woman Brunch

Gymnast Dominique Dawes latest speaking engagement will be raising awareness for heart disease.  Dawes is the guest speaker at this year's Heart of a Woman Brunch in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The brunch will be held on February 6th by the United Regional Foundation.  Reserved seat tickets are $125 while non-reserved seats cost $65.  

There are also sponsorship packages for $1000 and $1500 available.  Tickets include VIP parking, a heart health screening, a gift, and admission to the KDFX Women's Expo.

Dawes was a member of the U.S. Olympic team for ten years and competed in three Olympics.  She was a member of the "Magnificent Seven": squad that took home team gold at the 1996 Games.  

That year, Dawes also won bronze in the floor exercise.  She also has team bronze medals from the 1992 and 2000 Olympics.  

Dawes was the first person of color to win Olympic gold in gymnastics and the first African-American female to win an individual medal in artistic gymnastics.  She is a member of the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame, USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, and the USA Olympic Hall of Fame. 

Today, Dawes continues to speak all over the country and train a new generation of gymnasts.  She is also co-chair of the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition.
