Tampa Bay Buccaneers Great Mike Alstott Hosts Annual Celebrity Outdoor Weekend

On Sunday and Monday, Mike Alstott hosted his annual charity event.  Through the Mike Alstott Family Foundation, the Celebrity Outdoor Weekend took place in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

This year's weekend was presented by Strategic Financial Partners.  On Sunday, there was a dinner followed by a celebrity golf tournament on Monday.

There were several sponsorship packages ranging from $3,000-$10,000 that allowed people to participate in the event.  Last night, Alstott also hosted a special "Deadliest Catch" watch party with series star Keith Colburn.

Alstott became entrenched in the Tampa Bay community after spending all 12 seasons of his career with the Buccaneers.  He has the unsual role of a running fullback and made six consecutive Pro Bowls from 1997-2002.

Alstott was also a three-time first-team All-Pro.  His best season was probably 1999 when he ran for 949 yards and scored seven touchdowns.

Additionally, Alstott was a key component in the rise of the Buccaneers and helped the team won Super Bowl XXXVII.  Last year, he was inducted into the franchise's Ring of Honor.
