Super Bowl Champion Cornerback Aaron Ross Speaks at NAACP Freedom Fund Scholarship Banquet

Two-time Super Bowl champion Aaron Ross was back home last Saturday to speak at a special event.  He keynoted the Tyler-Smith County NAACP Freedom Fund Scholarship Annual Banquet in Texas. 

The banquet was held at the Harvey Convention Center.  During Ross' presentation, he thanked the NAACP for their community leadership.

He also talked about their important role in shaping a better future for millions of black Americans.  In addition to the speech, Ross always comes back to East Texas each offseason to host a youth football camp. 

Ross is an eight-year NFL veteran.  He spent the first five seasons of his career with the New York Giants after being the 20th overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft. 

While with the Giants, Ross won two Super Bowl titles.  He experience winning right off the bat as a rookie starter when the team knocked off the previously unbeaten New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

Upon leaving the Giants in 2011, Ross signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He would make a return to the Giants a year later before playing 2014 for the Baltimore Ravens.
