San Diego Chargers Running Back Melvin Gordon Makes First Appearance as Jockey Ambassador

Under garmet company Jockey had a natural tie-in to San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon when they made him their latest brand ambassador in January.  He great up in Kenosha, Wisconsin where Jockey is headquartered. 

That made Kenosha a perfect place for Gordon to make his first appearance on behalf of the company.  He was in the Jockey Factory Store in town on Thursday to sign autographs and take pictures.

Gordon was brought on board to promote "Jockey Being Family", a program that provides assistance to families who adopt.  His next appearance for the company will be at the Jockey Being Family Gala and Golf event.  

After a standout career at Wisconsin, Gordon played in 14 games and ran for 641 yards as a rookie in 2015. His best game without question came in his second game, when he carried the ball 16 times for 88 yards against the eventual AFC North champion Cincinnati Bengals.  

The Chargers selected Gordon 15th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.  As a senior with the Badgers, he had a season that was one for the record books.  

Gordon ran for 2,587 yards and 29 touchdowns on the way to winning the Doak Walker Award and finishing runner-up in Heisman Trophy voting.  He was a unanimous All-American and set the Big Ten and Wisconsin single-season rushing record.
