One of the rising young stars on the PGA Tour has a new endorsement deal. Smylie Kaufman is the newest brand ambassador for ECCO Golf.
As part of the deal, Kaufman will wear the ECCO Classic Lux golf shoe in competition. He will also sport the company's logo on the sleeve of his shirts.
ECCO Golf is now hoping they can grow with Kaufman as he continues to advance in his career. They have agreements already with standouts of the sport like Fred Couples and Ernie Els.
In 2015, Kaufman scored his first Tour victory at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. He fired a final round 61 to come back from seven shots back and win by one stroke.
At this year's Masters, Kaufman was in the final pairing with Jordan Spieth on Sunday before falling back to finish the tournament in a tie for 29th. He officially earned entry to the PGA Tour after finishing sixth on the money list during the 2015 Web.com Tour season.
Kaufman turned professional after graduating from LSU in 2014. He finished runner-up at the 2014 SEC Golf Championships in his final conference tournament.
