Retired Three-Time NBA All-Star Glen Rice to Host Basketball Training Sessions in Arkansas

This weekend, aspiring basketball stars in Arkansas will get the opportunity to learn from one of their own.  Former NBA All-Star Glen Rice is taking his training sessions on the road and back to his home state.

Rice will conduct one-on-one sessions at the P.A.R.K. Center in Little Rock from October 2-4 for $225.  Those that want to register can go to www.glenricebasketball.com

Rice is known as one of the deadliest shooters in basketball history.  The three-time All-Star hit 1,559 threes during a 15-year NBA career.

A particularly memorable season for Rice is the 1996-97 campaign.  That year he averaged 26.8 points a game, led the league with a 42% shooting percentage on threes, and won All-Star Game MVP honors.

Rice was originally selected by the Miami Heat with the fourth pick in the 1989 NBA Draft and went on to become one of the franchise’s early stars.  He is one of the best players in Michigan basketball history, winning an NCAA title and being named Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four in his final season.
