Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan Keynotes Women’s Empowerment Expo in April

This spring, some star power from the sports world is coming to the Women's Empowerment Expo in Raleigh, North Carolina. Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan is serving as the keynote speaker this year. 

Strahan's appearance was announced this week by presenting sponsor, Radio One Raleigh. The event will be held on April 14th at 11 a.m. at PNC Arena. 

Tickets went on sale today and range in price from $35-$75. There will be several vendor announcements coming in recent days. 

Strahan spent his entire 15-year career with the New York Giants. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro who led the NFL in sacks twice.

In 2001, Strahan won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award and set an NFL single-season record with 22.5 sacks. In his final season, he helped the Giants win Super Bowl XLII. 

Since retiring, Strahan has become an entertainment star. He won two Daytime Emmy Awards as a co-host of Live! with Kelly and Michael and he is currently a contributor to Good Morning America
