PING Agrees to Sponsorship Deal with PGA Tour Golfer K.J. Choi

PGA Tour standout K.J. Choi has a new equipment sponsor. The tour veteran will be using PING during the 2017-18 season.

As part of the deal, Choi has to carry at least 13 PING clubs in his bag and sport a company logo on the side of his hat and on his golf bag. He debuted with PING this past weekend at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Choi played their G400 driver, fairway woods, hybrid and irons, Glide 2.0 wedges and Sigma G Piper putter. PING is happy to have the golfer on board and looks forward to the exposure they will receive across Asia and in his home country of South Korea.

Choi has eight career victories on the PGA Tour and has spent 40 weeks in the top ten of the Official World Golf Ranking. He has won over $32 million in his career and is the all-time winningest golfer from Asia.

Choi has six top ten finishes in major tournaments, highlighted by a third-place showing at the 2004 Masters. The biggest victory of his career came at The Players Championship in 2011.

Choi has participated in the Presidents Cup on three occasions. He originally turned professional in 1994 and scored his first victory at the 1996 Korean Open.
