Orlando Magic Senior VP Pat Williams Speaks at School Donor Event

Orlando Magic Senior Vice President Pat Williams is one of the most powerful motivational speakers from the sports world. He has studied some of the great business and spiritual leaders of our time and was able to share that insight at his latest speaking engagement.

Williams was the special guest at a donor event for Master's Academy in Vero Beach. The event was held at Twisted Oak Farms to raise money for a new school gymnasium.

Williams specifically addressed traits that make leaders great. He also took questions from the audience, interacted with attendees one-on-one and held a book signing.

Williams began his sports career working in the front offices of minor league baseball teams. He became the Philadelphia 76ers business manager in 1968, starting a long affiliation with the NBA that still exists to this day.

Williams went on to stints as general manager with the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks before returning to the Sixers in that role in 1974. While in Philadelphia, he built the team that won the 1983 NBA championship.

Williams was one of the key architects involved in bringing basketball to Orlando and he is a member of the Magic Hall of Fame. As general manager, he helped guide the franchise to the 1995 NBA Finals just six years after their inaugural season.
