Olympic Volleyball Star Kerri Walsh Jennings Named Brand Ambassador for The Honest Company

Team USA beach volleyball star Kerri Walsh Jennings' fifth Olympic appearance is right around the corner.  Prior to the Games, she has earned a special distinction as the first brand ambassador for The Honest Company.

The Honest Company creates products for babies and homes.  It was founded by Hollywood megastar Jessica Alba.

As part of the agreement, Walsh Jennings will be focused on promoting the importance of sunscreen.  The Honest Company recently released their own SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen.

Walsh Jennings debuted on the Olympic stage as a member of the U.S. indoor team in 2000.  Little did anyone know that would be just the beginning of an iconic career in international competition.

Following those Olympics, Walsh Jennings headed to the beach and teamed with Misty May-Treanor.  That duo won Olympics gold in 2004, 2008 and 2012.

The pair also dominated the AVP Tour and were named Team of the Year six straight times from 2003-2008.  May-Treanor retired in 2012, but Walsh Jennings is looking to keep their gold medal streak alive this summer in Rio with new partner, April Ross.
