Oklahoma State Basketball Coach Brad Underwood Speaks at Stillwater Back to School Meeting

New Oklahoma State basketball coach Brad Underwood is taking some time to make himself a part of the local community.  Yesterday, he was a guest speaker at the Stillwater Public Schools back-to-school meeting. 

The meeting was held at the Stillwater Performing Arts Center.  Underwood spoke to the assembled group about the positive things he has heard regarding the district. 

Several teachers were also honored for their years of service.  All in all it was a positive, uplifting event to kick off a new school year.  

Underwood got the job to lead the Cowboys program after a successful three-year run at Stephen F. Austin.  The Lumberjacks made the NCAA Tournament each season.

Over the three seasons, Underwood's teams went 53-1 in Southland Conference, winning both the regular and postseason conference titles each year.  Each year, he was the Southland Conference Coach of the Year. 

Prior to taking the SFA job, Underwood was an assistant coach at Kansas State and South Carolina.  He was also previously a head coach at on the junior college level.
