Ohio Turfgrass Foundation Announces Former NFL Running Back Earnest Byner as Conference Speaker

Earnest Byner was one of the finest running backs of his generation and certainly a notable sports figure in Ohio.  On December 6th, he will keynote the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation Conference & Show. 

The conference runs December 5-8 in Columbus, Ohio.  Byner's presentation is titled, "For the Love of the Game", and he will discuss characteristics that bred his success as a teacher and coach after football. 

In addition to speaking, Byner will sign autographs at the tradeshow in the booth of presenting sponsor, Sygenta.  He will have copies of his book, "Everbody Fumbles", available for purchase. 

Byner played 14 NFL seasons and made Pro Bowls in 1990 and 1991.  He rushed for 8,261 yards and scored 56 touchdowns on the ground during his career. 

The Cleveland Browns originally drafted Byner in 1984 and he spent his first five seasons with the team.  He helped the franchise reach the AFC Championship Game in 1986 and 1987. 

Byner won a Super Bowl as a player with the Washington Redskins.  He has had an extensive NFL coaching career and also won a championship in that capacity with the Baltimore Ravens in 2001.
