New York Mets Pitcher Jacob deGrom Holds Meet and Greet at Macy’s Herald Square

New York Mets fans have the unique opportunity to see one of their ace pitchers today.  Jacob deGrom is holding a special appearance at Macy's Herald Square.

deGrom is taking part in a meet and greet from 6-8 p.m. on behalf of Buffalo David Britton.  It is one of the elements that makes up the store's Men's Style for Fall event.

Those who purchase $100 in Buffalo David Britton merchandise, get the opportunity to mingle with deGrom.  The pitcher has been apart of brand promotions before, helping them open the men's store in Macy's Herald Square with fellow rotation mate Noah Syndergaard last year.

deGrom is one of the most promising young pitchers in baseball.  This past season, he went 7-8 in 24 starts with a 3.04 ERA coming off his breakout 2015 campaign.

That year, deGrom went 14-8 with a 2.54 ERA and made the National League All-Star Team.  He also went 3-1 with a 2.88 ERA in four postesason starts as the Mets advanced to the World Series.

deGrom made his major league debut in 2014 and won NL Rookie of the Year honors.  He was originally selected in the ninth round of the 2010 MLB Draft after his time at Stetson University.
