NBA Point Guard E’Twaun Moore Holds Hometown June Basketball Camp

Later this month, NBA point guard E'Twaun Moore will host a basketball back in his hometown of East Chicago, Indiana.  The camp will run June 24-25 at his former stomping grounds, Central High School.

Each day, campers will get expert basketball instruction from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Kids in fourth through ninth grade are welcome to attend and lunch will be provided each day.

Registration is $60 per camper with a special rate of $40 for East Chicago residents.  The first 150 to sign up also receive a camp t-shirt, souvenir and certificate.

Moore took Central to a 4A state championship in 2007 before embarking on a storied college career at Purdue University.  He played four seasons for the Boilermakers and was named to the All-Big Ten first or second team each year.

In addition, Moore became just the third player in Big Ten history to score over 2,000 points, grab more than 500 rebounds and dish out over 400 assists.  The Boston Celtics took note of his accomplishments, selecting him in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft.

Moore played one year for the Celtics before joining the Orlando Magic for two seasons.  He has spent the last two campaigns with the Chicago Bulls and started a career-high 22 games while shooting over 42 percent from three this past season.
