Michigan State Head Coach Mark Dantonio Speaks at State High School Coaches Association Clinic

Following one of the most successful seasons in school history, Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio took time Friday morning to speak to some of the state's high school coaches.  Dantonio was the speaker at the 44th annual Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Clinic at the Lansing Center.

He addressed the hundreds of coaches assembled on some of the key principles for the Spartans program.  Dantonio also elaborated on some of their fundamental teachings on defense.

Following the presentation, he participated in some media interviews and looked ahead to the 2016 season.  Spring practice begins at MSU on March 22nd.

Dantonio's 2015 squad captured the Big Ten Championship and made it to the second College Football Playoff.  It was the program's third straight ten win season.

Michigan State has won the Big Ten three times under his watch and he is a two-time Coach of the Year in the conference.  Five of the last six seasons, the Spartans have won over 11 games.

Dantonio came to East Lansing after three seasons as the head coach at Cincinnati.  He also had a lengthy MSU stay as a defensive backs coach in the 1990s before taking the Ohio State defensive coordinator job.
