Magic Johnson Named Keynote Speaker at The 60th Annual Rental Show Convention

Magic Johnson’s transition from basketball star to business tycoon has made him a sought-after speaker for many years.  The American Rental Association was able to real him in as their keynote speaker for the 60th annual The Rental Show.

The trade show runs February 21-24 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.  Early registration starts September 8th and costs a special rate of $60 until October 31st.

Johnson’s 13-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers was one of the greatest of all-time.  The Basketball Hall of Famer was a five-time champion, three-time MVP, and made 12 All-Star squads.

His impact on a generation of  players was profound.  Retiring with averages of 19.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 11.2 assists per game, Johnson revolutionized the point guard position.

Post-basketball, he has created an empire with Magic Johnson Enterprises.  In 2012, he led a group that purchased the Los Angeles Dodgers for $2 billion.

Johnson has also been an inspiration to many following his acknowledgement of being HIV-positive in 1991 and the activism he led after his diagnosis.  He remained well known to a new generational of basketball fans as well as a commentator for ESPN.
