Kentucky Basketball Coach John Calipari Opens the Alltech Ideas Conference in Lexington

Kentucky WIldcats coach John Calipari is revered in the Bluegrass State.  He is undoubtedly set to hear some cheers from locals in attendance when he gives the opening keynote speech at the Alltech Ideas Conference in Lexington on May 22nd. 

The conference brings together individuals seeking world-changing ideas and global networking from May 22-25 at the Lexington Convention Center.  3,000 people attend on average each year.  

Early registration prior to February 29th to attend the three-day session costs $695.  In addition to Calipari, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and former Ford Motor Company CEO Alan Mullaly will also give presentations. 

Calipari is one of the most successful coaches in sports today.  He has led three different programs to Final Fours and has four appearances with Kentucky.

The Wildcats won the NCAA Championship in 2012 and were back in the tournament final in 2014 under Calipari's watch.  He is a three-time Naismith and SEC Coach of the Year. 

39 of Calipari's former players have gone on to the NBA and eight of his assistants have become Division 1 head coaches.  In 2015, Calipari was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
