Hall of Famer Charles Haley Speaks at Midwestern State's Welcome Back Dinner

It has been a a fun time for one of the NFL’s all-time great winners.  Charles Haley got to recently go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and spoke over the weekend at Midwestern State’s ninth annual Welcome Back Dinner.

Haley participated in a Q&A at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.  He also imparted some words of wisdom to the 2015 Midwestern State football team.

No player won the five Super Bowls that Haley did.  He was a key defensive prescence for dynasties with the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.

Haley forged his path to greatness after being just a fourth round pick of the 49ers in the 1986 NFL Draft.  He finished with 100.5 sacks, five Pro Bowl appearances, and selection to two All-Pro squads.

In addition to all his accolades, Haley also was named Defensive Player of the Year twice by UPI and is a member of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.  He played collegiately at little-known James Madison, but finished as the program’s all-time leading tackler and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
