Hall of Fame Manager Tony La Russa Speaks at the Future Forward Conference

This September, Arizona Diamondbacks chief baseball officer Tony La Russa did not have to go far to be an event keynote speaker. He spoke at the Future Forward Conference on September 30th at Chase Field. 

La Russa talked about his long career journey in baseball. He talked about some essential traits for leaders like the necessity to inspire and finding positives in negative situations. 

There were various sessions that had other Diamondbacks speakers as well as presenters from the Phoenix Suns and Marriott. The conference ended with the opportunity to attend the final Arizona home game of the season. 

La Russa is one of the greatest managers in baseball history. In 33 seasons, he racked up 2,728 wins, which ranks third in major league history. 

La Russa's teams won three World Series and 12 division titles. He won three American League Manager of the Year Awards and one National League Manager of the Year Award. 

The final 16 seasons of La Russa's career were spent with the St. Louis Cardinals and he the franchise retired his #10 jersey. He is also a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
