NBA Hall of Famer George Gervin to Make Appearances in NYC During All-Star Weekend

NBA Hall of Famer George Gervin will be making appearances in New York during NBA All-Star weekend.  During his time in the big apple he will be appearing at NBA Houses in Manhattan from February 10-16 at Skylight at Moynihan Station and Brooklyn from February 11-15 at LIU Brooklyn Paramount Theatre.  Tickets for his appearances are $10 in Brooklyn and $20 in Manhattan.

“For me, being a part of the legends group, the fan base that comes into the NBA House, I get a chance to meet a lot of them that still remember me,” said Gervin about his appearances.  “And they bring their kids, and a lot of them say, “This is the man right here.”  Their kids don’t know who I am, but their dads and moms know who I am.  I like that, man.  If the kids want to know anything about me, they have to go to YouTube.”

Gervin played 12 seasons in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls from 1974 to 1986 and earned nine All-Star selections to go along with seven All-NBA selections.  He also won the NBA scoring title four times in 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1982.   Gervin’s legendary No. 44 jersey is retired by the San Antonio Spurs, and he is a member of the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
