Former Wichita State Basketball Star Ron Baker Holds Children’s Book Signings

Wichita State basketball great Ron Baker has an unique side interest off the basketball court.  He has released a children's book, "You're Too Big To Dream Small".

The book provides a message of inspiration to kids and it encourages them to chase their dreams.  Baker is holding a four pack of book signing appearances in Kansas August 3-5.

On August 3rd, Baker will be in Hutchinson at El Dorado High School and the Cosmosphere.  The next day, he will be in Wichita at Scott City High School and then wrap it up on August 5th at Exploration Place.

Baker's Shockers' career was highlighted by four NCAA Tournament berths and three Missouri Valley Conference titles.  He helped Wichita State win nine games in March Madness, including runs to the Final Four and Sweet Sixteen.

During his last three seasons, Baker made the All-MVC first-team each time.  He currently ranks in the top ten in WSU history in points, assists and steals.

Baker accomplished everything despite originally being a walk-on at Wichita State.  While he was not selected in the NBA Draft, the New York Knicks picked him up to join the Summer League.
