Former Three-Time All-Pro Rosey Grier Speaks at California Fellowship of Christian Athletes Event

There is certainly excitement in southern California with the return of the Los Angeles Rams.  One of the Rams greats from yesteryear is set to speak next week at a San Gabriel Valley Fellowship of Christian Athletes event.

Former defensive stalwart Rosey Grier is the special guest at the chapter's Golf Classic and Celebration Dinner on October 10th.  The event is being held at Glendora Country Club.

The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Those interested in attending are advised to ask their FCA staff for ticket information.

Grier has lived a very interesting life, but it all started on the football field.  He played professionally for the Rams and the New York Giants.

Grier was a two-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro.  He won an NFL Championship with the Giants in 1956 and was a part of the iconic "Fearsome Foursome" defensive line with Los Angeles.

After his football career, Grier served as a bodyguard to presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy.  He also made an extensive list of appearances acting in television and film.
