University of Georgia fans remember former star quarterback David Greene fondly. This May, he will keynote the Savannah Morning News/savannahnow.com Best of Preps banquet.

The gala takes place on May 16th at 6 p.m. at The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa on Hutchinson Island. It is presented by the Georgia Ports Authority.

Tickets are currently available. Greene will talk about his athletic journey and how that has led to his life as a father and business professional.

Greene was a starting quarterback for four seasons at UGA and set a NCAA record with 42 wins. He also set a school-record with 11,528 passing yards that has since been broken as well.

Each season that Greene was the starter, the Bulldogs finished in the top ten. As a sophomore, he led Georgia to their first Southeastern Conference championship since the 1980s.

The Seattle Seahawks selected Greene in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent several seasons in the pros and now is an analyst for the SEC Network.
