Former Standout Running Back Brian Westbrook Keynotes Coordinated Health Athletes of the Year Banquet

Brian Westbrook is a favorite sports star in Pennsylvania from his time with the Philadelphia Eagles. On Wednesday, he was in Bethlehem as the keynote speaker for Coordinated Health's Athletes of the Year Banquet.

There were over 250 people in attendance at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, including the 35 Coordinated Health Athletes of the Week. In a program first, two student-athletes received $10,000 scholarships.

Westbrook shared several important messages, including the importance of hard work. He stressed three things that will be important to the athletes as they go off to college, "family, friends and faith."

The Eagles originally selected him in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft and spent his first eight years in Philadelphia. Throughout his career, he was known as one of the top all-purpose running backs in the game.

Westbrook was a two-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro. He was part of Eagles teams that turned in one of the best runs in franchise history, including a trip to Super Bowl XXXIX.

Westbrook spent one final season with the San Francisco 49ers in 2010 before retiring. In 2015, he was inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame.
