Former NFL Running Back Ray Rice Speaks at the Big 12 Conference State of College Athletics Forum

Ray Rice's very public shame that resulted from domestic violence incident that wrecked his NFL playing career has profoundly changed him.  He is now working towards making sure others do not make the same mistake he did.

On Wednesday, Rice spoke at the Big 12 Conference's "State of College Athletics" forum.  The event was held at 4 p.m. at the Belo Mansion & Pavilion in Dallas, Texas.

Rice was part of a panel that spoke on university violence.  He talked about the epidemic of sexual assault on college campuses and that football players need to keep their teammates accountable.

During his six-year tenure with the Baltimore Ravens, Rice was one of the most dominant running backs in the league.  He ran for over 1,100 yards four straight years from 2009-2012.

Rice is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time All-Pro second team member.  He ranks second in Ravens history in rushing yards, touchdowns and attempts.

Baltimore originally selected Rice in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.  In college, he was a two-time All-Big East pick at Rutgers and a first-team All-American in 2007.
