Former NFL Player Keith Davis Speaks at Parent Engagement Event

On Tuesday, former NFL player Keith Davis recently takes his inspirational message to Greensboro, North Carolina. He is making an appearance on behalf of the Guilford County Schools Dropout Prevention and School Social Work Department and the Guilford Parent Academy.

They are welcoming Davis to speak at a parent engagement event that takes place from 6:30-7:45 p.m. at Ragsdale High School. The title of his presentation is "Parents as Champions: Playing the Second Half."

Davis is specifically addressing the role that parents play in keeping kids in school. Attendees will also hear from school district dropout prevention leaders.

Davis found great success in college football at the University of Southern California. He was a second-team All-Pac 10 selection and two-time Rose Bowl participant.

Off the gridiron, Davis recorded the highest GPA on the Trojans team and graduated with a degree in Business Finance. The New York Giants signed Davis in 1988, but a preseason injury during his rookie season ended his football career.

As a motivational speaker, Davis fights for increased literacy and underprivileged youth. He has spoken at over 3,000 schools in 25 different states.
