Former NFL Player Keith Davis Keynotes School Convocation Event

Former NFL player Keith Davis has dedicated his life to inspiring others. On Friday, he spoke at the Tyler Independent School District Convocation in Texas.

The event was held at Green Acres Baptist Church. There were thousands of teachers and staff assembled to hear from Davis and others.

Davis talked about the ability all students have to succeed. The district also presented The Gary Mooring Award at the convocation.

Davis first starred on the football field at the University of Southern California. He was an All-Pac 10 second-team performer and played in two Rose Bowls.

The New York Giants brought Davis into the professional ranks, but a knee injury ended his career in his first preseason. He went on to found the speaking organization, Winners Inc.

Davis is particularly invested in speaking to at-risk populations about literacy. He has made presentations at over 3,000 schools in 25 countries.
