Former NBA Player John Salmons Keynotes Philadelphia Business Symposium April 26th

The African American Museum of Philadelphia is hosting a special business symposium. The Conversation on Entrepreneurism & Business Capital is being held on April 26th at the Museum. 

Former NBA player John Salmons is serving as keynote speaker. He has had success in his post-basketball life as an entrepreneur and investor. 

The event takes place from 6-9 p.m. and admission is free, but an RSVP is required. There will be a networking session from 6-6:45 p.m. with complimentary wine and light appetizers. 

Salmons had a 13-year NBA career, spending time with six different teams. He was a four-year starter at the University of Miami and scored over 1,000 points for the Canes. 

During Salmons' time at UM, he was a second-team and third-team All-Big East selection. The Philadephia 76ers selected him in the first round of the 2002 NBA Draft. 

After four seasons as a reserve for the Sixers, Salmons became a starter with the Sacramento Kings. During the 2008-09 season, he averaged a career-high 18.3 points per game.
