Former College Football Coach Phillip Fulmer Speaks at Tennessee Church Night Thursday

Tennessee's football program has not returned to the level of prominence they experienced under coach Phillip Fulmer. As a beloved figure in the state, Fulmer regularly makes appearances and holds various speaking engagements.

On Thursday, he will be speaking at Red Baptist Church's "A Night of Orange and White." The event will begin with a Chik-fil-A dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by Fulmer's talk at 6:30 p.m.

Fulmer will talk about his faith and tell stories from his time leading the Vols. Individual tickets were $20 but they are no longer available.

Fulmer coached UT from 1992-2008 and won 152 games. Tennessee made five appearances in the Southeastern Conference Championship Game under his watch.

The high-water mark of Fulmer's tenure came in 1998 when he led the Vols to a win in the inaugural BCS National Championship Game. He finished second in program history in coaching victories.

In 2012, Fulmer was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He was recently named a special advisor to Tennessee school president Joe DiPietro.
