Former All-Pro Offensive Lineman Matt Light Speaks at All-Star Banquet

Former New England Patriots offensive lineman Matt Light is still a popular personality throughout the region. Yesterday, he was the guest speaker for an All-Star Banquet in Framingham, Massachusetts. 

The event was hosted by the MetroWest Daily News and the Milford Daily. 144 student-athletes were honored at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel. 

Light talked about his experience as an amateur athlete. He also went on to tell stories from his college career at Purdue University as well as his time with the Patriots. 

New England originally selected Light in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He spent his entire 11-year career with the franchise and was named to three Pro Bowls. 

Light was a three-time Super Bowl champion and a first-team All-Pro in 2007. At left tackle, he was a key component to protecting quarterback Tom Brady. 

Light named to the Patriots All-2000s Team and their 50th Anniversary Team. He is currently a broadcaster for ESPN.
