Five-Time World Champion Figure Skater Michelle Kwan Speaks at Hillary Clinton Glass Breaker Summit

Five-time World Champion figure skater Michelle Kwan has made her leanings in the upcoming Presidential election very clear.  This past weekend, she was out on the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton. 

Her Saturday visit to Reno was for the Hillary for Nevada Glass Breakers.  It kicked off a week of activities meant to engage the female voting base in the state. 

The summit was held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Dandini Campus for Truckee Meadows Community College.  In addition to Kwan's presentation, there was several panel discussions.  

Kwan is one of the greatest American figure skaters of all-time.  In addition to her World Championships, she won a record-tieing nine U.S. Championships. 

In Olympic competition, Kwan captured a silver medal in 1998 and a bronze in 2002.  She had one of the lengthier careers in recent memory, debuting on the senior level as a 12-year-old in 1992. 

Kwan is a member of the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame and the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame.  In addition to her work for Clinton, she has been a public diplomacy ambassador under two presidential administrations.
