Ex-Clemson Football Coach Tommy Bowden Keynotes Montgomery Quarterback Club Awards Banquet

The Bowden name still resonates throughout the college football world.  The Montgomery Quarterback Club is bringing one member of the iconic coaching family in as part of their fall speaker lineup.

Former Clemson coach Tommy Bowden will keynote the club's final meeting on December 13th.  The last of 11 events also serves as the Montgomery Quarterback Club Awards Banquet.

Meetings officially begin on September 13th with ESPN's Tony Barnhart.  Sponsorship packages and individual memberships are still available for the season.

From 1999-2008, Bowden was the head coach at Clemson.  The Tigers finished in the top 25 four times and he was a two-time Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year.

Prior to taking the job, Bowden was the head coach at Tulane for two seasons.  In 1998, he led the Green Wave to a perfect 11-0 record and a top ten final ranking in the polls.

Before Bowden got the opportunity to be a head coach, he served as an offensive coordinator at Auburn and Kentucky.  His coaching career started at West Virginia and he also spent time on his father's staff at Florida State among other stops.
