Ex-Big Leaguer Chris Singleton Named Keynote Speaker at Nevada's Bobby Dolan Baseball Dinner

Former MLB outfielder Chris Singleton has found success and acclaim in retirement as a broadcaster for ESPN.  Singleton will discuss that and other topics when he returns to his Nevada baseball roots this January.

The program has tapped Singleton to be the keynote speaker at the annual Bobby Dolan Baseball Dinner on January 15th.  A VIP reception at 4:30 will lead things off at the Silver Legacy Reno Ballroom followed by a cocktail hour at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30.

Individual tickets run $150 and there are table and VIP packages available.  Nevada is coming off a 41-win season the first Mountain West title in school history.

Singleton played baseball and football for the Wolf Pack and is a member of the school’s athletics hall of fame.  He hit .330 on the diamond and caught 86 passes for 1,526 yards on the gridiron.

After being a second round pick of the San Francisco Giants in the 1993 MLB Draft, Singleton would play six big league seasons.  He started his career with a splash in 1999, hitting .300 with 17 home runs and 74 RBI for the Chicago White Sox.

Singleton has been with ESPN since 2008, serving primarily as an analyst on Baseball Tonight.  He is also the primary game analyst on ESPN Radio’s broadcasts of Sunday Night Baseball.
