ESPN Broadcaster Karl Ravech Speaks at UConn Baseball Preseason Dinner January 18th

One of the most prominent broadcasters in the sports world will be attending UConn baseball's Preseason Dinner. ESPN's Karl Ravech will make an appearance at the event on January 18th. 

The banquet will be held at the Hartford Marriott Downtown beginning at 5:30. The 2016 Huskies squad that won the American Athletic Conference tournament championship will receive their rings. 

Ravech will speak and also moderate a discussion with four of UConn's five current major league players. Individual tickets to attend are $100 while sponsorship packages for $500 and $1000 are also available. 

Since 1993, Ravech has been a mainstay at ESPN. He is best known as the host of the Emmy Award-winning "Baseball Tonight," a role he started in 1995. 

Ravech has served as a SportsCenter anchor and Monday Night Baseball play-by-play voice as well. He is a regular presence during the network's summer coverage of the College World Series and Little League World Series. 

Prior to joining ESPN, Ravech was a local sports reporter and anchor in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Binghamton, New York. While attending Ithaca College, he was the sports director at NewsCenter 7 and a freelance producer for WCVB-TV in Boston.
