ESPN Anchor Neil Everett Speaks at Montana State

One of ESPN’s most popular personalities headed to Bozeman, Montana to speak last week.  SportsCenter anchor Neil Everett was the keynote speaker at the Montana State 6th Man Club Summer Tipoff.

Everett had a session with the media and with the club inside Montana State’s Alumni/Foundation Great Hall.  He stressed the importance of local support in college athletics, per the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.

Guests paid $25 to attend the event and Bobcat Club members got in for just $10.  Everett also spoke with the MSU men’s basketball team during the day.

Everett originally joined ESPN in 2000 and his profile has grown steadily since.  He is currently the co-host of the 1:00 a.m. Los Angeles-based SportsCenter.

Prior to his time with the “Worldwide Leader in Sports”, Everett spent 15 years with various media outlets in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Before jumping into the TV world, he was a sports information director at Hawaii Pacific University.

Everett is a graduate of the University of Oregon.  Through his allegiance to the Ducks he connected with the man who facilitated his visit to Bozeman, former UO assistant and current Montana State head coach Brian Fish.
