Detroit Pistons Forward Tobias Harris Holds School of Business Basketball Camp Later This Month

Each summer, Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris returns home to Islip, New York to impact youth in the community. The School of Business Camp takes place June 26-30.

It is being held for kids in grades 3-12 at Hall Hollow Hills HS East and Harris' alma mater, Half Hollow Hills HS West. Each day's session takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be significant work related to basketball fundamentals at the camp, but activities also serve a bigger purpose. Sessions are geared towards providing campers with career advice and life goal development.

Harris has averaged over 16 points per game since being traded to the Pistons in 2016. He made his playoff debut last spring and averaged 14.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3 assists per game.

Harris became a top scorer in the league during a four-year run with the Orlando Magic. He spent the first two seasons of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks after being a first round pick in 2012.

Harris is a former Mr. Basketball in the state of New York. He played college basketball at the University of Tennessee, where he was a second-team All-SEC pick in 2011.
